Created By God

April 27-28. Created By God is a church-based human sexuality workshop which brings together fifth and sixth graders, their parents and adult leaders for a faith-filled, comprehensive study - anatomy, growth and development, reproduction and God's call to intimacy and responsibility. Liz Wright, of St. Paul UMC in Little Rock, has led this workshop at our church for many years. Liz makes the workshop fun for the kids, yet educational. There is a required parent meeting on Sunday, April 22 at 4 p.m. in the Mixed Adults classroom.

Youth Missions Fundraiser

The CUMC Youth Group will begin the first of their 2 yearly fundraisers Sunday, April 22. Every dime will go to youth missions and service projects. The youth will be setting up tables in the Narthex, Family Life Center and Wesley Center with envelopes on them. Each envelope will have a number between $1 and $150. They are asking you to please pick up an envelope of your choice and donate the amount of money found on the front of that envelope. You can either donate the full amount yourself or collect smaller amounts from others and combine it. Once the envelope is full, you can either drop it in the offering plate, bring it to the office, or place it in the youth mailbox found mounted on the Refuge Kitchen wall.
