Cabot Community Christmas Feast
The Cabot Community Christmas Feast is a CUMC mission that began over 10 years ago to provide less fortunate residents of Lonoke County with a hot Christmas dinner, complete with all the trimmings*. The Christmas Feast has grown from feeding 20 people the first year to feeding over 1,100 people, with the help of over 200 volunteers from CUMC as well as several other church partners this past Christmas! There are many ways to help prior to the event as well as on Christmas Day.
Our last Christmas Feast Planning Meeting will be Monday, Dec. 16 at
6:00PM in the Church Library. (M110).
We are still collecting canned green beans and corn for this year’s
Christmas Feast! Collection baskets are located outside of both worship services
and in the “Collection Corner” in the Wesley Center foyer. We also still need items for our teen room for the Christmas Feast! Teen boy items seem to be where we always fall short. Shaving kits, bath/body wash sets, balls, beanies, caps and gift cards to Cabot restaurants and places of entertainment were all a big hit last year! Teen room items can be dropped off in the 2nd Mile classroom (E106) in the Wesley Center. Also, we are collecting gently used toys for the Children’s Rooms at this year’s Christmas Feast. Toy donations can be dropped off in the Crossroads classroom (E120) in the Wesley Center. Thank you for supporting this important, growing mission in our community!
