CABOT UNITED METHODIST CHURCH
At Cabot United Methodist Church, we affirm the ministry of all believers whereby every Christian shares in Christ’s ministry of reaching out in love through our serving others. Our Congregational Care Team is made up of a group of people deeply committed to caring for all aspects of the lives of our faith family here at CUMC. Below you will find the groups that operate year round in this ongoing and ever-adapting ministry. If caring for your faith family is something on your heart, please contact the church office about how to get involved in this crucial ministry at 501-843-3541.
When someone is in the hospital, we believe they should receive visits from more that just the pastor. We step in and support the family in crisis with our presence, love, and prayers.
We visit, send cards, and deliver Communion to our members who are homebound & provide updates to the office.
We meet every Sunday at 5:00 pm in the church library for intentional prayer for requests turned in via the offering plate on Sundays, connect cards, website, or the church office. We also pray daily for the spiritual growth and vitality of our church. Coordinating prayer vigils for crisis within our church community or Cabot/Central AR community is an important part of the ministry of this team as well.
Providing meals to church families in crisis/bereavement is a wonderful way to show our love and support to those in our faith family going through difficult times. We also rely on our church family to arrange, set up, serve, and clean up meals at funerals and visitations held at CUMC. If caring for your faith family is something on your heart, please contact the church office about how to get involved in this crucial ministry at 501-843-3541.
We greet first-time guests to CUMC and help them find their way. We also provide goodie bags to our guests. Our goal is to make everyone who walks through our doors feel welcome and loved.
