In Luke 12:48, Jesus is teaching his disciples about faithfulness, and sums up his lesson with, “Much will be demanded from everyone who has been given much, and from the one who has been entrusted with much, even more will be asked.” The same thing is true of a church. Here at Cabot United Methodist, we aren’t called to just be content collecting the blessings and favor that God has given us. We are called to take those blessings and use them to bless others. The best is yet to come, and we can’t be content merely looking back at all we’ve accomplished. We’ve got to continue to answer God’s call to create a Christian community that is compelling for new generations of people.
